about me
Following a career in architectural and interior design I made an early decision to move back to South Hams and am now practicing art full-time.
Most of my work in the last 2 years has been in traditional print-making techniques using 400 year-old 'Intaglio' techniques of metal plate etching / aquatint and 'drypoint' but also exploring contemporary means of non-toxic etching print production. I have also recently explored contemporary photo-etching techniques and hope to weave the possibilities this presents into my work in the future. Look for this work in 'Gallery #2 - Traditional Prints' on this website.
I also work in watercolour, pen-and-wash, acrylic, oils, pastels and charcoal - This work can be found in 'Gallery #1 - Painting and Drawing' on this website.
My professional training was in architecture and much of my subsequent development as a professional commercial designer in Central London meant mastering a broad range of digital tools – ‘Adobe’ graphic and film-making software, ‘3DsMax’ for modelling and ‘Autocad’ for architectural work and the skills gained here are represented in 'Gallery #3 - Hybrid Prints' on this website.
